A rare pink-to-violet variety of spodumene, prized for its delicate pastel hues and elegant transparency.
Displays shades of soft lilac, lavender, and violet-pink, with a natural pleochroism that can reveal different colors when viewed from different angles.
Mohs hardness: 6.5–7 — avoid strong impact, harsh chemicals, and prolonged sunlight, as kunzite can cleave easily and its color may fade with extended light exposure.
Traditionally associated with unconditional love, compassion, and emotional healing, symbolizing an open and receptive heart.
Believed to encourage self-love, emotional balance, gentleness, and deeper connection with others.
Fun fact: Kunzite was named after gemologist George Frederick Kunz, who described the gemstone in 1902 after its discovery in California.
