Prehnite is a translucent to transparent mineral known for its soothing green to yellow-green color, though it can also occur in white, gray, or even bluish tones. It is a calcium aluminum silicate and often forms in botryoidal (grape-like) clusters or as crystalline masses with a soft, waxy luster. Prehnite is most commonly found in South Africa, Australia, China, and the United States, and is sometimes used as a gemstone in cabochon or beaded form.
